We have had the closing of the RAGE Hall adjacent to the White house and we had the opening of the Youth Centre at the west side of the parking area. This was all made possible by the hard work of Matthew Tribe, thanks Matt. My family and I have moved into the house next-door to the church, where the Youth Centre is on the property. This opens tremendous opportunities for the growth of the youth. We will be putting up a Volley-ball court, we are making a fire-pit, we have a games room with table tennis, a pool-table, and a whole lot of other games.

We were donated various pieces of furniture by the parish families, a leather lounge suite donated by Diane and Ryan Van Nierkerk, a pool-table donated by William Nunes. The Greenslade family donated fifty plastic chairs, and coffee mugs, and a beautiful large Braai. We take this opportunity to thank all parishioners for their wonderful and most welcome donations. God has been good to us. All are welcome at any time to come and view our Youth Centre.
 

We had a very successful Children's Church.
 Youth Church meets every Sunday morning during the 09:00 am service.
The Children's Church only closes over Christmas and Easter.
We are back and running from the 8^th January 2012.

When RAGE opens in February, we are looking for responsible youth leaders to take up the helm of running not only RAGE,
but different youth events within the Cathedral.

We are also looking for a full Volley Ball set - can anyone please make a donation, we need, a net, balls, and poles.
We are also looking for material or funds to build a fire-pit, and to fit flood lights.

Youth Crusade is an annual event that is run for the gathering of the youth and a time to display their different talents.

Matthew Tribe has started a page in the pew leaflet that will advertise all up and coming youth events.
Matt gives us an inspirational verse every week.
The verses or sayings are a brilliant way to start a week, you put the verse on your night table,
next to your bed, and when you get up in the morning you start your day by meditating on the verse  for a couple of minutes,
(without falling asleep)
 What a brilliant way to start your day. Thanks Matt, we also love you.

The evening service has been revamped and we are looking forward to new and exciting things through this New Year.
With Morgan Phillips and the evening service band, this service has become a great experience.
We have Prayer and Praise every first and third Sunday of the month, and Eucharist every second and fourth Sunday of the month.
 Keep an eye on the Pew-leaflet for the different themes of the evening services.
When there is a fifth Sunday in the Month the youth take over the 09:00 am service
and Evenng Prayer replaces the Prayer and Praise evening service.

Confirmation Classes start on the 12 February this year.
You must be sixteen(16) years of age before Confirmation on 07 October 2012.
