The Lord's Prayer

Our Father in heaven
hallowed be your name
your kingdom come
your will be done on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins as we forgive those
who sin against us.
Save us from the time of trial
and deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power,
and the glory
are yours now and forever.

THE APOSTLES' CREED

I believe in God the Father Almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ,
his only Son our Lord.
He was conceived by the Holy Spirit
and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate
was crucified, died, and was buried:
He descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again.
He ascended into heaven
and is seated
at the right hand of the Father.
He will come
to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body
and the Life everlasting.

The Church of St. Dunstan's
was proclaimed the
Cathedral Church of the Diocese of the Highveld
on
24 November 1999
and its focus is Diocesan Unity and Ministry.

The Cathedral Foundation Trust has been formed in order to assist
in the development, equipping and maintaining the Cathedral.

PERSEVERE IN PRAYER

The South African Council of Churches (SACC) has asked for a Day of Prayer to be held for our country on Ascension Day - next Thursday. All our Christian neighbours are invited to spend an hour together in prayer at St Dunstan’s Cathedral from 12noon to 1pm. Bishop Charles (an Executive member of SACC) will give a brief introduction to the hour of prayer. Please try to attend for at least part of the hour.

CECIL MORRIS

It is with sadness yet Easter joy that we announce the death of The Rev’d Cecil Hubert Musgrave Morris on Sunday 14th May.
Fr Cecil was 91 years of age and still regularly attending worship - he passed quietly away in his pew during the administration of Holy Communion during Sunday Mass at the Cathedral.
A Requiem will be held on Saturday 27th May at 3pm in the Cathedral Church.
